Aztec inspired sun cutout DIY

Aztec inspired sun cutout ready for you to decorate.  The sun consists of 6 layers. Use paper, paint, and your imagination to decorate this unique sun designed exclusively by Dee Gray of  Dee Gray Gathered Curiosities (https://www.facebook.com/GatheredCuriosities)

The first layer (bottom) is 12" x 12" and cut from 1/4" baltic birch plywood. 

The next layer is a 3" disc cut from 1/4" baltic birch used as a spacer to give the rays some depth. 

The 3rd layer is cut from 1/8" baltic birch plywood. 

The 4th and 5th layers are 1/4" baltic birch. 

The forehead, eyes and lips are 1/8" baltic birch. 

The pieces are not connected to enable ease of decorating.  There is a small hole drilled in each layer to help line them up.
